By using Highlights.Email you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

The Service

Highlights.Email exports highlights from your Kobo e-reader and emails them to you.

Your Account

  • You must provide a valid email address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API key secure.
  • One account per person.

Pricing

The free tier includes 10 email exports. The paid tier offers unlimited exports. Payment is processed by Stripe and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Device Installation

Using this service requires installing software on your Kobo device. Installation is entirely at your own risk. You should back up any important data before proceeding. Installing third-party software may affect your device warranty, and compatibility with all devices or firmware versions is not guaranteed.

I am not responsible for device malfunction or damage, data loss or corruption, voided warranties, or any other issues arising from installation or use of the software.

Disclaimers and Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

MY TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR EUR 10, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. I AM NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS OR DATA, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, OR THIRD-PARTY ACTIONS.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws
  • Infringe on copyrights or other intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Overload or disrupt the service

Intellectual Property

  • Your highlights remain yours.
  • The service and its code are mine.
  • The application is for personal use only. Reverse-engineering and redistribution are prohibited.

Termination, Changes, and Governing Law

You may delete your account at any time by emailing kavith@highlights.email. I may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted.

These terms may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be notified by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.

Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
